Days Until Ramadan Calculator

This tool uses your browser's local calendar date — not GPS — to count whole days until the next estimated 1 Ramadan. Pick Umm al-Qura (Saudi-aligned tables) or tabular civil Hijri math. The default method is Umm al-Qura, matching many online calendars and national tables.

When Ramadan has already started, the headline switches from a countdown to a day-of-month counter — for example "Day 12 of Ramadan" — plus days remaining until Eid al-Fitr. On the first day of Ramadan the headline reads "Ramadan Mubarak."

After Ramadan ends you never see a dead zero. The countdown automatically targets the next Hijri year's 1 Ramadan without refreshing the page or entering a new Gregorian year. That roll-forward behavior mirrors how live holiday countdowns should feel year round.

Example scenario: if today falls mid-March during Ramadan 1447 under Umm al-Qura tables, you might see which day of the month you are on and roughly how many days remain until Eid. If today is after Eid, the calculator counts down to Ramadan 1448 instead.

Moon sighting rules vary by region. This page shows tabular estimates — your community may begin fasting a day earlier or later than the date math here. Confirm with your local mosque before treating the countdown as a religious ruling.

Timezone matters only for defining "today." The tool uses your device's local date at midnight boundaries, not astronomical sunset. Near month boundaries a same-day ±1 difference is possible compared with traditions that advance the Hijri date after Maghrib.
