Counting down to Ramadan

This tool uses your browser's local calendar date — not GPS — to count whole days until the next estimated 1 Ramadan. Pick Umm al-Qura (Saudi-aligned tables) or tabular civil Hijri math. When Ramadan has already started, it shows which day you are on; when it ends, it rolls forward to the next year automatically.

On the first day of Ramadan the headline reads “Ramadan Mubarak.” During the month you see the day count and days until Eid al-Fitr. After Ramadan ends you never see a dead zero — the countdown targets the next occurrence.

Example: if today is mid-March during Ramadan 1447, you might see “Day 12 of Ramadan” with about 18 days until Eid. If today is after Eid, the calculator counts down to Ramadan 1448 instead.

Common questions

Does this use my location?

It uses your device timezone for “today” only — not GPS. Calendar method (Umm al-Qura vs tabular) is your choice; moon sighting rules vary by region.

What happens after Ramadan ends?

The countdown automatically targets the next Ramadan year — you do not need to refresh the page or pick a new year.
