Personality number

The personality number uses consonants only — every letter in your name that is not A, E, I, O, or U. Each consonant gets its Pythagorean value, the consonants are summed, and the result is reduced (master numbers kept when they appear).

Numerology texts often describe this as the "outer" layer — how you present before deeper traits. It pairs with the soul urge (vowels) and expression (all letters) to form a basic name chart.

Example: "Anna Lee" → consonants N, N, L → 5+5+3 = 13 → 1+3 = 4. Spaces and punctuation are ignored; only Latin A–Z letters count.

Common questions

What letters count as consonants?

Every Latin letter except A, E, I, O, and U. Y is treated as a consonant here, consistent with standard Pythagorean worksheets.

Which numerology system is used?

Uses the Pythagorean (Latin A–Z) system only. Diacritics are stripped. Chaldean numerology uses different letter values.

How is this different from the expression number?

Expression uses all letters. Personality uses consonants only; soul urge uses vowels only. Together they describe different layers in traditional readings.
