Counting down to an anniversary
An anniversary countdown measures whole calendar days from today until the next time your anniversary month and day arrive. The start year on your certificate does not change the countdown — only the recurring month/day matters, like a birthday countdown.
If today is on or after this year's anniversary date, the calculator rolls forward to next year's occurrence. Leap-day anniversaries (February 29) follow the same calendar rules as half-birthday math when the day does not exist in a given year.

Common questions
Does the original year affect the countdown?
No. Only the month and day repeat each year. A June 14, 2018 start date counts down to the next June 14.
How is this different from the wedding countdown?
Same calendar math — wedding countdown adds wedding-planning context and lets you set a custom as-of date. This page focuses on recurring relationship anniversaries from the milestone date alone.
