Weekdays that are not public holidays count as PTO when they fall inside your chosen break — Saturdays and Sundays are free but do not count against PTO in this model. Edit the holiday CSV for your country or employer calendar.

Default holidays 2026-12-25 and 2027-01-01 match common US federal observances — add Christmas Eve or regional boxes if your employer grants them without PTO.

Example: from 2026-12-20 through 2027-01-05 with 3 PTO days and those holidays may yield a multi-day stretch bridging Christmas and New Year when placed on adjacent weekdays — exact output depends on which days of the week fall in range.

Results show which PTO dates the optimizer picked — compare with your team's blackout rules before submitting requests. Longest break is not always the only goal if you prefer fewer partial work weeks.
